First poem I have ever written was "Playing Safe" when I was a Junior in High School.
Then there was "Coward" & "Love Only Once" (which I revised last year-mid 2002).
My fourth poem was "A Knight in Shining Armor" which I wrote when I was 16 (college freshmen).
This is particularly lengthy since I based it on a novel by Jude Deveraux of the same title.
I only read the novel once cuz it's making me cry and, of course, I hate crying.
But it wasn't until I was a Junior in college that I started writing poems again.
Most of the poems written in my junior year though were bitter, full of questions, and later on, it talked about surviving and moving on.
But the closure that I was looking for didn't come until the end of First semester, junior year.
After that, my poems took a 180 degree turn. Now, my poems are mostly about life in general, and sometimes, about love.
One of my poems, "Beyond the Night Skies" was supposed to be included in the limited coffee table book of poems entitled "Quicksilver Moon"
which was released last winter 2002. Supposed because I never responded nor gave my authority to Poetry.com (they sent me a letter)
as to whether or not they could print my poem, so I'm not sure if they went ahead and included it in the book. I never saw the book and almost forgot all about it until now...To date, I have written more than 100 poems...
